Curiosity requests the following Google OAuth scopes. Each scope grants the application limited, specific access to your Google account data:

  • calendar.calendarlist.readonly — View the list of calendars associated with your Google account. Read-only access.
  • calendar.readonly — View calendar events across your calendars. Read-only access.
  • calendar.events — View, create, modify, and delete events on your Google calendars.
  • gmail.send — Send email messages on your behalf. Does not grant access to read, modify, or delete existing emails.

We only request these scopes as necessary for the application to function. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Curiosity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information and access we collect to:

  • Authenticate you and provide access to the application
  • Read your calendar list and calendar events to display scheduling information
  • Create, update, or delete calendar events as directed by you
  • Send emails on your behalf as directed by you
  • Maintain and improve the service

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete all personal data associated with your account.
